Breakfast before some of us went to Central Park.
And the others did their own thing.

I love new york.

I treated some tired legs to a very expensive pedi-cab ride out of Central Park.
I was on a mission to reward myself with little bit of shopping.

I did not purchase this beautiful coat.

My favorite vintage store.

Le Pain Quotidien
In Short by J. Schwartz
As light and airy as a country farmhouse, the simple decor and pine furnishings radiate rustic ambience. Local sophisticates gather at a long communal table, while couples sneak away to private seats in back. The menu features salads, soups and house-specialty tartines (open-face sandwiches) with fillings like imported French ham, duck pate, Gruyere cheese and Scottish smoked salmon. For a snack, a colorful fruit tart.
(my favorite is the arugula salad with pine nuts and goat cheese)

Gabi hailed this taxi cab. She was very quiet during the ride.
Apparently she was stunned that SHE was able to be call this cab.

About 4 hours out of NYC, we got stuck in another traffic jam.

Okay, not exactly 'Must Hear video' but definitely one for the books.
The song came on and suddenly we were on our feet singing for our audience of one (Raff)
who thought it was too precious not to capture on video.
Raff, on behalf of --I am not sure whom--thank you?

He has tobacco in his mouth, and I look constipated.

Home at last

I left Tully, NY (22 mi south of Syracuse) at 4: 15 am.
It was brutal.
80 mi into my trip I got sleepy so I pulled over at a gas station to sleep.
The three girls (my two+ one syrcuse cousin) were so cooperative.
They whispered quietly and then woke me after half an hour of napping.

Two hours later I had to pull over again for coffee and doughnuts.

An hour and a half later I had to stop at a little diner in the hopes that food would wake me up.

I must have looked really tired or run down
because when it was time for me to pay my bill--
the waitresses had informed me that someone had already payed for our meal.
That random act of kindness woke me up and got me home.
I still need to pay it forward.

I got home, napped for an hour until Steve's brother Tim, Sharyn and family came for a visit.

We spent the day at the Waterpark, the next day at the Science and Sports Center, and the next two days at two picnics.
One with the Grecos (My brother A's in-laws) and the other with Steve's parents at Punxsutawney, Pa.

I spent today in bed.
